Support A Soldier started with one persons wish to make a difference in the lives of our deployed military
men and women. With the help of family and friends what once was a small operation working out of our
founder’s garage has now grown into a worldwide effort with sister organizations in Britain and Australia.

Our initial goal was to send care packages directly to deployed Soldiers, but with the numbers of Soldiers
requesting support growing into the thousands, we were unable to provide the much needed support alone,
so we enlisted the help of caring people such as yourself to help us provide this support. With the Adopt-A-
Soldier program we have connected thousands of caring Sponsors with deployed military personnel
worldwide.

Our founder Vavette Blevins and spouse, retired Army Sergeant Major Lee Blevins have dedicated their time
and efforts to providing much needed support to the many deployed men and women worldwide, “We won’t
stop until they all come home!”.

We are a IRS non-profit charitable organization and we received 501(c)(3) status in March of 2006.  We are
registered as a non-profit in the state of Texas.  We are located just minutes away from Fort Hood and
provide a major means of support to deploying and redeploying troops in the Killeen / Fort Hood area.

We appreciate everyone who supports this effort and appreciate those who link to our website or pass along
our information to employers, family, and friends. Getting the word out to others about our efforts is greatly
appreciated, please feel free to share our information with media sources such as radio stations, TV and
newspapers.
